Japanese 1: Basic Japanese (1)

This course is for complete beginners. It starts with Japanese pronunciation, daily expressions, Japanese writing systems, and basic sentence structure.

Japanese 2: Basic Japanese (2)

This course is the continuation of Japanese 1. It introduces more vocabulary, numbers, and structures to make your Japanese more practical in everyday situations. You also learn how speech styles function in Japanese culture.

Japanese 3: Verbs & Particles

This course takes your Japanese to the next level. You'll learn verb conjugation, particles, and more complex structures. The course drastically expands your Japanese skills.

Japanese 4: TE Form Master Course

This course teaches you TE Form, which is a huge part of the Japanese language. You must know TE Forms to speak Japanese efficiently and naturally.

Japanese 5: Adjective Master Course

You'll learn all about adjectives in this course. "Like," "Love," and "Want" are all adjectives (not verbs) in Japanese, so you need to know how adjectives function to speak your favorite things, desires, or wishes for the future. Of course, you'll also learn how to describe things.

Japanese 6: Plain Form & Informal Speech

Informal Speech! You'll finally learn how to conjugate Plain Forms in this course so you can use Informal Speech. It's the speech style you use with someone close to you, such as friends in the same age group or family members. This course teaches you how to switch between Formal and Informal speech depending on the situation.

Japanese 7: Potential & Volitional Form

This course introduces you to Potential Form and Volitional Form, which you typically learn in your second year (vol. 2 in many textbooks) of Japanese learning. We use the Potential Form to say what you can or cannot do, as in "I can" or "I am able to."

We use the Volitional Form to say "Let's," "Shall we?" or "Shall I do it for you?" in Informal Speech.
