No. Romaji is included throughout both Courses 2 and 3, so you can follow all lessons even without knowing Hiragana. You will see more Japanese in Hiragana as vocabulary expands, but you can learn the characters in parallel at your own pace.
❓ Is this bundle suitable for complete beginners?
This bundle is ideal for learners who have already completed Japanese 1 (or have equivalent experience with basic sentence structure, daily expressions, and simple questions).
If you are totally new to Japanese, you will have a smoother experience if you start with Course 1.
❓ When do the courses start and finish?
The courses are self-paced. You can begin anytime and move through the lessons whenever it fits your schedule. There is no time limit, and you are free to review the content as often as you like.
❓ How long do I have access to the course?

❓ Is this course taught in English?
Yes. All grammar explanations are taught in clear English, with many Japanese examples and audio files to help you build listening and speaking skills.
❓ Does this course cover MASU Form and basic verb conjugation?
Yes. These topics are taught thoroughly in Japanese 3 (Course 3), where you will learn how to make MASU form, the negative and past forms, and how to use verbs naturally in real sentences. If you have never learned MASU form before, this bundle is the right place to start.
❓ Does this course prepare me for the JLPT exam?
Not directly. Courses 2 and 3 focus on everyday communication, question words, verbs, particles, and essential grammar patterns. These skills support future JLPT study, but you will need JLPT-specific materials if your goal is to take the exam.
